There is already plenty of relevant information here, and it’s only the tip of the iceberg; getting in touch directly with Roberta opened a world of additional advice and tailored recommendations. She has this infectious, calming energy and she is so passionate. She went out of her way to give me the most beautiful experience, a real authentic way to experience Salerno. Oltre ad essere una ragazza estremamente gentile e sempre disponibile, Roberta mi ha aiutata ad organizzare la settimana perfetta in Costiera Amalfitana! Di cosa avete bisogno? cibo, panorami mozzafiato, esperienze uniche? Lei vi consiglierà questo e molto altro ( non le solite attrazioni turistiche, ma tutto estremamente locale). L’ho contatta per il noleggio di una barca e mi ha subito messo in contatto con Michele, anche lui persona meravigliosa, e grazie a loro io e il mio ragazzo abbiamo avuto l’opportunità di vedere la Costiera dal mare facendo il bagno in punti dove solo con via mare si può arrivare. Roberta - a sweet kind soul!!

I came across Roberta’s blog, Travel Scratchpad, as I was looking for information on Salerno and the Amalfi coast…and man, did I get lucky!!! I reached out to her on Whatsapp to run my travel itinerary by her and she was kind enough to go through all of it and provide some very helpful suggestions. Once my partner and I arrived in Salerno, Roberta provided me with a super useful walking guide that helped us find our bearings all through our stay, as well as explore all that the city has to offer. Her food recommendations were absolutely on point and thanks to her I had the best food of my entire time in Italy…after trying out one of her recommended places on day 1, I refused to eat anywhere not on her list and I wasn’t disappointed even once! Roberta even offered plenty of other interesting suggestions on things to do around Salerno.

Salerno simply stole our heart as it is not at all touristy, (unlike the rest of the Amalfi coast!) and we were able to get a glimpse into life in a regular Italian town….in fact we actually cancelled many of the things I had planned and instead chose to relax in Salerno and enjoy it to the fullest. But none of this would have been as perfect if it weren’t for Roberta being so open and generous with information. As she checked on us every single day of our stay, I was so touched by what a kind and genuine person Roberta is, and I really hope I can return the favour someday!

We found Roberta’s blog while looking for things to do in Salerno. WHAT A SURPRISE! Her blog gives recommendations on several cities. We texted her asking for more details and she sent us a link for a Google map with all the attractions and restaurants in the area and what she recommends on each. Let me tell you each and every one of the recommendations we tried was on point. The attractions were beautiful and the restaurants were Amazing. We had the opportunity to meet her for a yoga class she helped us organize with ocean views (amazing). The instructor Mauro was great and we enjoyed it a lot. She is the kindest most welcoming person.

Do yourself a favor and read through her blog and Instagram before traveling to the Amalfi coast! She made our honeymoon time in the Amalfi coast great.
